Activities

Time that

truly belongs

to you.
You don’t need to fill your day at Kurro
Here, a day may unfold slowly – with a morning swim, a walk in the forest or a quiet moment with a book. Or it may take a more active form, with movement and shared time on our sports grounds. You choose how much movement and how much pause your day needs.
A house that reveals many possibilities
A yoga room, where regular practices take place (these are published in the Kurro calendar two weeks in advance). Between sessions, you are welcome to use the space independently — the room supports presence and is equipped with yoga mats and blankets.
A gym, equipped with modern equipment for independent training on days when the weather does not invite you outdoors.
A library, where a selection of works by Estonian authors is available for reading on site. These selections have been curated for us by Estonian people who are important to us — many of whom you may also know. This is a space of quiet — if you do not wish to read the thoughts of others, it is also a perfect place to listen to your own.
A wellness shop — if you wish to take a piece of Kurro wellbeing home with you. You will of course find products from our professional spa lines, but not only.
Fisherman’s Room & Fish Kitchen Warm lockers to dry your clothes. A space to clean your catch and keep it frozen until you head home.

Kurro’s “backyard” and movement in fresh air
A hybrid clay-sand tennis court
A multi-sports field (basketball, volleyball, football)
A ~3 km contemplation trail
2 padel courts with artificial turf
In winter an ice-skating area and a maintained ~3 km cross-country ski track
A sunset terrace by the pond and a picnic area
Smokehouse Reserve the outdoor kitchen and smokehouse for your small group. A place to salt and smoke your fresh catch right away. Enjoy the process on your own or with the guidance of a local expert.
The Kurro calendar
At Kurro, time may feel like it moves more slowly. That is exactly as it should be. We add to this rhythm by offering activities that support rest, calm and a deeper connection with nature. The Kurro calendar fills at its own pace — activities become visible and bookable 14 days in advance. You will find yoga practices, guided forest walks, nature education experiences and community events. If you have made your reservation well in advance, we will notify you when the calendar is published so you can plan your stay.

Children
Kurro is a place of rest for everyone — including the youngest. We hope to help even children from urban environments reconnect with nature, so that this becomes a lasting relationship based on care and understanding.
During school holidays, the Kurro calendar includes activities designed especially for children and young people — taking them outdoors and allowing them to experience nature in a different way than in a traditional classroom.
For children and young people, Kurro offers:
A children’s pool and jacuzzi
Childcare services in the playroom
A relaxation pool area for young swimmers with more dynamic activities
A playroom for more active play
A playroom for younger children
A variety of sports opportunities and equipment rental
Alutaguse and Ida-Viru County — more than you might expect
Kurro is located in the middle of rich and diverse nature. There is more to discover here than just a few days allow. Here are some recommendations we truly believe are worth visiting:

Alutaguse National Park Visitor Centre (8 km)
(The southern gateway to the national park, where you can explore its values and visitor opportunities)
Iisaku Kihelkonna Muuseum (13 km)
(The history of Iisaku and its surrounding region)
Vaikla Puhkekeskus (10 km)
Trout fishing, horse riding, horse grooming and various family activities
(An ancient sacred site with a holy spring known for its healing water. The monastery grounds are open for visitors to walk freely. If possible, we recommend booking a guide and making a donation.)
Alutaguse Sport Center (44 km)
(Year-round sports activities and events, including well-known ski trails in winter)
